Hi there, and happy Monday!
Are you feeling festive yet?
Does it take you awhile to get into the swing of it? Every year I think “it can’t actually be December, it doesn’t feel like Christmas yet!” but whether we celebrate the festive season or not, this is the time of year that we are bombarded with messages around what gifts we should be buying, the Christmas menu we need to decide on, and all the things that we need to do before time apparently stops until around mid January. No wonder people find Christmas so stressful. You know what, it does’t have to be that way. Take some time to remember that the end of the year should be about a wind-down of sorts, a period of reflection on the year that was, and spending some quality time with your nearest and dearest. The rest of it isn’t all that important in the grand scheme of things. Having said that, I am extremely partial to a festive box of Quality Street chocolates, so perhaps a little indulgence should be encouraged too. You deserve it. Tis the season to eat, drink, and be merry after all!
This is our last delivery week of the year, and here’s what’s on the menu –
Roast Turkey with the trimmings!
Corned beef and mash
Chickpea coconut curry
Cauliflower leek pie
(and of course, a delicious full vegetarian menu for our veggo friends and families!)
Click here to place your order for delivery this Sunday the 9th and Monday the 10th of December
All Feed Me subscriptions will be paused as of next Monday the 10th of December, and will be reactivated again in the week leading up to first deliveries. Please do let us know if you will be away and if you would like your deliveries to recommence at a later date. If you place a casual order over the December and January period please note that a response email to confirm your January delivery time and date will come, but perhaps not as quickly as usual. The kitchen will be closed after deliveries on the 10th of December, and just as we would encourage all of you to, I’m going to try to spend a little less time with my inbox and some more time spreading and enjoying the festive cheer! Your emails are always appreciated and I’ll do my best to get back to you as soon as I can.
We would like to take the opportunity to thank you all for your support of Dish And Spoon Melbourne over 2018. It’s been an incredible year for us – how first full year of running this business – and we have loved meeting all the new families we’ve been sharing dinner with over the year. Whatever you do and however you celebrate the ending of one year and the beginning of another, we hope you enjoy yourselves, and stay safe and well. We’ll be back bigger and brighter in 2019, with deliveries starting again on the 13th and 14th of January.
Brett, Pam, Caitlyn, Dylan and and the Dish And Spoon Melbourne family x
